Free Christmas and Hanukkah Wallpapers and Backgrounds

Winter and holiday art from SL-Designs, collected for December: snowflake wallpapers, Christmas and Hanukkah backgrounds, and Hanukkah wallpapers with stars and candlelight. Everything is original art by Stella Levi and free to download for personal, non-commercial use.

Snowflake wallpapers

Three snowflake designs at 1024 × 768 pixels that work for the whole winter, not just Christmas week. Open one and press Download to save the full-size file.

Christmas backgrounds

Six repeating snowflake tiles, two of them with a Merry Christmas greeting. Each one is small enough to use as a web page or blog background and repeats across any size of screen.

Hanukkah wallpapers

Three Hanukkah wallpapers. The first scatters glowing white stars and Stars of David across a deep blue background, the second is another field of stars, and the third is a snowy pine forest at sunset with a row of candles glowing in the corner.

These come in more sizes than most of the site: 1024 × 768 and 1600 × 1200 pixels, and 800 × 600 for the second and third. Pick the size under a picture to download it; for a modern wide screen, take the largest and choose Fill.

Hanukkah backgrounds

Four repeating tiles: a lit menorah above a Star of David on navy blue, and three dreidel patterns, two of them mixed with stars. Like the Christmas tiles, they fill a desktop, a web page or an e-mail background without a seam.

Using them

Wallpapers go straight onto a desktop; tiles need the Tile setting so they repeat instead of stretching. How to use a tiling background walks through Windows, Mac and web pages. Everything above is also in the Christmas & Hanukkah collection.
